Human Race

Genetically speaking, we are all the same.  DNA surveys demonstrate that all humans are 99.9 percent the same.  The .1% where we do differ, like in melanin content, the shape of our eyes, or the texture of our hair, have no physical or biological distinction as to classify us as being different.

The question then is this; if there are no physical or biological differences why do we still place such social and political significance to these tiny body decorations?  Biologists and Anthropologists have long rejected the concept of race as being a social construct, nothing more.

We are certainly divided more by culture than by race, and culture tends to build around language groups which share similar appearances.  But when it comes to race, there simply is no such thing.  The Bible says, “that from one drop of blood God made all the nations and he appointed their time and place in history.”   It is way past time we started acting more like family than enemies.

Take away quote:  There is only one race, the human race.
